NEULAND Innovation Contest – Apply Now!
The contest
Started in 2013, the NEULAND innovation contest kicked off its anniversary round. It is again worthwhile to share research results with market potential in 2022. Participation allows scientific employees of KIT to submit application-oriented ideas and research projects, afterwards having them reviewed by industry experts. Apart from the appreciation of daily work, the competition also offers an incentive to initiate new cooperation with the industry: The best ideas will be guided by the innovation managers of KIT in order to boost projects and find industrial partners.
The prices
With their submitted ideas, participants not only contribute to the scientific conversation, but also have the opportunity to win one of three cash prizes for further development of their submitted idea. Prizes will be awarded for technologies and projects in the categories idea award and transfer award. Judges will be a six-member jury with networks in both, science and industry. The evaluation is based on factors such as level of innovation, feasibility and commercialization potential.
In addition to attractive cash prices, the winners await the opportunity to receive funding from the innovation fund of KIT. The aim is to turn ideas with cooperation of industrial partners to a marketable product or to implement the process to strengthen IP-based technology transfer.
Your participation
All scientific employees of KIT are invited to apply for the category idea award of innovation contest from now onwards. To participate, simply fill out the APPLICATION FORM and send it to Dr. Rainer Körber: rainer.koerber@kit.edu. We look forward to receiving numerous ideas and are excited about your contribution to technology transfer!
The transfer award honors the most promising technology transfer of the past year. Technologies that were transferred to an industrial partner for the first time within the past year are nominated without a formal application.
