Intensifying cooperation: Schneider Electric joins the KIT Business Club
On September 1, 2024, the KIT Business Club – the central, transfer-oriented corporate network of KIT – welcomed the tech group Schneider Electric SE as a new partner. With over 168,000 employees worldwide, Schneider Electric is active in application fields related to electrification, automation and digitalization. There are many overlaps between KIT and Schneider Electric in the field of electrical engineering as well as in other fields of cooperation. "We are delighted to be a new member of the KIT Business Club and to be able to contribute our world-leading expertise in the field of industrial technology to this partnership," says Jessica Bethune, Vice President Industrial & Process Automation DACH.
The KIT Business Club team is also pleased to welcome a new member. Dr. Markus Bauer, head of the business network, says: "We warmly welcome Schneider Electric and see a wide range of potential for cooperation in the broad spectrum of topics. We perceive Schneider Electric as a very active and interested partner for the KIT. We are therefore looking forward to strategically expanding the existing points of contact with KIT in the long term and jointly identifying new issues and contacts for joint projects with research groups." For this reason, a visit by the KIT Business Club to Schneider Electric's most important German R&D site is already in preparation.
In total, the KIT Business Club is now working intensively with 31 innovative companies on a cross-thematic basis. The network with personal contact persons at KIT brings the partner companies together with the researchers at KIT and initiates dialog on important, current topics, for example on the upcoming events on the semiconductor industry or on new process technologies.
