KIT Business Club continues to grow: BI X from Boehringer Ingelheim strengthens the area of digital health solutions
Since November 1, 2023, the KIT Business Club, consisting of 30 members from various technology sectors, has welcomed Boehringer Ingelheim as a new member of the transfer-oriented network. The globally active, research-oriented biopharmaceutical company with over 53,000 employees joined via its subsidiary BI X, which has been driving the development of digital health solutions within the company since 2017. "As Boehringer Ingelheim's digital laboratory, we are always on the lookout for exciting new technologies and are therefore delighted to have found another outstanding partner for research transfer in the field of deep tech and health technologies in KIT," says Christoph Brabandt, Head of Ideation and Scouting at BI X.
The KIT Business Club team is also pleased to welcome a new member. Dr. Markus Bauer, head of the business network, reports: "We warmly welcome BI X and Boehringer-Ingelheim and see a wide range of potential for cooperation, particularly through the new Center of Health Technologies (HealthTech) at KIT. We are looking forward to strategically expanding our existing contacts in the long term and adding new questions, points of contact and joint projects with various institutes at KIT." In view of the many global challenges, close cooperation between industry and research is more important today than ever before. The KIT Business Club has more than 10 years of experience in the field of industry relations and offers a unique opportunity to tap potential with KIT working groups and corporate partners through personal contacts and networking opportunities.
